Diploma Course Offerings

Students should come into those campuses knowing that 50-75% of their school day will be doing online work. They are enrolled in “online” periods where they are able to work on APEX, our online program, supported by a certificated teacher. Due to our structure, students can take a maximum of two sections of ELA and/or math at one time.

The following classes are teacher taught:

  • ELA (Intro Lit Comp 9A, 9B; World Lit Comp 10A, 10B; Amer Lit Comp 11A, 11B; Comp Lit 12A, 12B; Bridge to College English A, B)
  • Math (Algebra 1A, 1B; Geometry A, B; Bridge to College Math A, B)
  • Advisory
  • Biology, Physics, or Chemistry (ONLY at UDYC, Alder & Queen Anne starting the 24-25 school year)
  • Art (ONLY at SE, UDYC, SW)

The following classes are offered independently through APEX or Self-Directed:

  • World History 1, 2 & 3
  • US History 11A & 11B
  • American Government
  • Physics A
  • Biology A, B
  • Chem A
  • Science Elective
  • Art
  • PE (through logs)
  • Health

Because Innovation Virtual Campus is a fully remote campus, they offer ELA, Math, some Science, Art and some Social Studies through Schoology. The remaining science classes, social studies & other classes are offered through APEX. Learn more about them HERE!

We also have CTE pathway classes that are live. They are Skilled Trades, Environmental Horticulture, and Healthcare.

Even though we are set up for student to access expedited credit earning, upper classman that are behind in credit and would like to graduate with their cohort will likely have to do additional work outside of school hours.

Interagency Academy is a small alternative learning experience (ALE) high school. Since we do not offer AP, IB, World Language or Algebra 2 classes, this can impact a student’s acceptance into four-year universities. If you want to discuss your student’s prior academic history in light of this and before enrolling at Interagency, please contact Head Counselor Keira Howe at knhowe@seattleschools.org.
