Welcome Back, Interagency Families!
I’m Principal Sharonda Willingham, and I am so excited to welcome you back to a brand-new school year. This is always my favorite time of year—when we get to reset, reconnect, and reimagine what’s possible for our students.
At Interagency, we know that school is about so much more than academics. Many of our students and families face challenges around health, housing, and stability. I want you to know we see you, we hear you, and we are here to walk beside you. Our goal is to create a school where every student feels safe, cared for, and supported—where their basic needs are met, they are surrounded by caring adults who believe in them, and they are growing as learners and leaders.
This year, our theme is Aligned. Planted. Blossomed. Like the lotus flower, we know that real growth doesn’t happen in perfect conditions, it happens in real life, even in the mud. And just like the lotus, our students have the ability to rise and thrive no matter what challenges they face. Every student at Interagency deserves a fresh start, and we are committed to re-engaging them with compassion and respect, ensuring that no matter what barriers they face, they always have a place to belong here.
Our vision is that every student who graduates from Interagency leaves with a clear post-secondary plan, whether that’s college, career, or entrepreneurship—so they can experience their gifts, develop their talents, and give back to society in meaningful ways. We want every student to walk out of our doors knowing who they are and where they are headed next.\
But we cannot do this work alone. Families, we need your voice, your presence, and your partnership. Together, with you, our staff, and our community partners—we are building a school where wellness and learning go together, and where every student leaves with resilience, health, and purpose because they were supported by a community that never gave up on them.
So, let’s make this year a season of alignment, strong roots, and bold blossoms. Welcome back, Gray Wolves—let’s make this our best year yet!
With care and partnership,
Principal Sharonda Willingham
