Southwest Campus (SWYFS)

Located in the Southwest Youth & Family Services building next to Delridge Playfield, this campus offers a small, relationship-centered learning environment rooted in community care and academic support. The site is near the Delridge Community Center and Skatepark, with access via the H Line, 50, and 125 bus routes, and street parking available.

Students benefit from small class sizes and co-taught Bridge Math and ELA classes, allowing for targeted instruction and individualized support. Enrichment is a core part of the program, including Arts Corps teaching artists twice per week and a Brain Lab model that supports Social Studies, Science, Personalized Pathways, and Health.

The campus prioritizes connection and belonging through weekly, cellphone-free Community Circles, while also supporting future goals. The campus team actively helps students access CTE programming and trades-related opportunities. Therapeutic services and case management are available on site through SWYFS, ensuring students have access to wraparound supports as part of their school experience.

Note: There are limited nearby food options for lunch, so students are encouraged to plan accordingly.

Bell Schedule:

It is my belief that my students must first see themselves as learners, “doers”, and even teachers of mathematics to feel truly empowered by their mathematics learning and to apply what they have learned outside of my classroom. My most important work then is to help a student to find and build a mathematics identity that is positive and empowering. One way I try to do this is through amplifying and celebrating student voice and thinking.

Ms. Kate

This is my 10th year teaching at Interagency and my 23rd year teaching math. It is an honor, a privilege, and a source of joy to teach and learn with my students.
