Summary: Joseph Mingo will be serving as interim principal of Interagency Academy.

I am pleased to announce that Joseph Mingo will be serving as interim principal of Interagency Academy. He brings a strong record of program leadership as Interagency Assistant Principal, along with a leadership vision that holds high expectations for student learning and positive school culture at every Interagency site.

Before becoming a school leader, Mr. Mingo served as a CTE teacher and Career Connected Learning Coordinator at Cleveland High School. He has also been a Juvenile Probation Counselor at King County and a triage consultant for Military One Source.

Mr. Mingo earned his bachelor’s degree in public administration from Talladega College and his master’s degree in counseling from Hampton University. In 2025, he earned his Admin credential from Seattle University.

He is looking forward to leading Interagency students, staff, families, and community members to ensure every student learns at high levels and graduates prepared for the future they choose. His official start date is today, Aug. 28. He is excited to begin this important work with the Interagency!
