     Summer Youth Apprentice

    Urban ArtWorks’ mission is to create public art that empowers young people and transforms communities. We invite teens between the ages of 14-19 to apply to one of our Summer sessions, where you will learn how to research, design, and paint murals for organizations and festivals throughout Seattle. No art experience is required!

    Session 1:

    July 10, 2019 – August 30, 2019
    Session 2:

    July 10, 2019 – August 30, 2019

    Breakfast, lunch, and snack will be provided.

    Either a $400.00 stipend or 120+ Service-learning hours will be given to each Apprentice after successful completion of the session.

    Job Description
    : Interns will work as members of the CenturyLink Field Suite Runner Team throughout the summer months.

    To perform this job successfully, an intern must seek to improve their verbal communication and presentation skills. We are looking for up-beat and service minded individuals to care for our guests who attend events at CenturyLink Field. Job activities include:

    • Sets-up all pre-event food and/or beverage orders

    • Delivers food, beverage and other products throughout the facility, in an efficient and timely manner

    • Ensures that inventory levels of supplies are maintained

    • Identifies suite host and properly introduces oneself

    • Replenishes food, beverages, condiments and utensils as needed

    • Maintains standard of orderliness and cleanliness of suite throughout the event

    • Clears all items from the suite and cleans all surfaces and chafing dishes in suite

    • Re-sets and re-stocks suite for next function

    • Completes closing functions and checks out with suite supervisor

    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Requirements
    • Resident in King County
    • Ages 16-20

     Schedule:         1 shift per week 7-8 hours (Every Seahawks Home Game) August 2019 to December 2019 (may be extended until January depending on playoffs)  

    Pay:                  $15.00 per hour.  No benefits are provided.

    DigiGirlz Day

    During the event, students interact with Microsoft employees and managers to gain exposure to careers in business and technology and to get an inside look at what it's like to work at Microsoft. This exciting event provides girls with career planning assistance, information about technology and business roles, thought-provoking exercises, and interesting Microsoft product demonstrations. By participating in the Microsoft DigiGirlz Day, young women can find out about the variety of opportunities available in the high-tech industry and can explore future career paths.


    What time is it? SUMMER, SUMMER, SUMERTIME! (schoolʼs out, and its sort of a BUZZ!) So lets pack up and steer out for our O2 Summer programming!!! The O2 Camp Long location will be hosting day trips each Tuesday and the O2 Southwest location is leading day trips on Wednesdays. Some highlights include horseback riding,Vertical World indoor climbing, biking, paddling, fishing, and a day white water river rafting. We have some truly phenomenal teens that applied for our Thursday hiking and trail stipend-programs this year. We canʼt wait to see them step up as O2 leaders! We are also looking forward to some amazing week long trips: a first ever sailing the Salish Sea trip, a mixed camping hiking adventure, a backpacking trip into the high mountains and a rock climbing trip. O2 Summer Stipend Programs! Grab your boots and hard hats crew, we’re on hiking, and trail crew duty with this summers stipend programs. Once we have received the completed forms, we will contact all of the applicants and inform them of their acceptance and placement.
