    This newsletter from the Center for Family and Child Well-being has valuable resources for action and family and self care for Black Lives.

    At CCFW, we believe that Black lives matter and we stand with those protesting injustice. We also recognize the impact that these events have on our community’s mental health and are committed to supporting children, youth and families’ well-being now and going forward.

    The difficult and painful events of the past weeks, combined with the disproportionate adverse effects of COVID-19 on communities of color, have starkly highlighted the pervasive effects of institutional and systemic racial inequity and injustice. 

    We are committed to taking action, supporting child and family well-being, and doing the difficult work of engendering growth and change in ourselves and our community.

    Commitment to Well-Being

    We are committed to supporting the well-being of Black families and communities. Many people are looking for ways to heal and grow as we navigate these painful times. Mindfulness can help create space for all of the emotions we may experience and support us in identifying what is needed to heal and feel grounded.
